    Nyorek

    The motif is drawn onto primissima cotton in soft pencil, following a pattern held by the house.

  2. 02

    Nglowong

    Hot wax is laid line by line with a copper canting. A shirt length takes six to eleven weeks.

  3. 03

    Nyoga

    The cloth is bathed in soga bark for its brown depth, then indigo, then boiled to lift the wax.

  4. 04

    Njahit

    Our tailors cut the finished cloth to a half-canvassed pattern, matching motif across every seam.
